Mr. Abdülhalim Altınel was born in Gevgelija, Macedonia in 1929; transmigrate to Kirklareli, Turkey when he was 9 years old. Graduated from Edirne High School in 1949 and attend to Ankara University Faculty of Law. After completing his law degree in 1955, trained at attorney Savni Gizligöz Law firm and to start his professional activity at his own law firm in Edirne City. He was active mainly in the fields of Criminal law, Corporate and Commercial law, Litigation/Commercial Arbitration and Maritime Law, Stakeholding. He is regularly asked to lecture at seminars on various areas of Turkish Law and acts as arbitrator in international disputes. He has been presented with awards for the long-years of services and awards by the Edirne Bar Association for his bar membership of more than 50 years. Among other associations, He was a member of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club of Edirne. He has a fair knowledge of French.

He was Edirne Jewish community lawyer for 30 years. He trained more than 24 intern lawyers. Some of them become Member of the GNAT (Grand National Assembly of Turkey), most of them became president of Edirne Bar.

He was educated together with Mr. Nevzat Ayaz (ex. Minister and politician), Mr. Hüsamettin Cindoruk (17th President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and politician), Mr. Kamuran Inan (Ex. Minister of State, Ambassador to the United Nations and politician) and many others in same class desks at Ankara University Faculty of Law.

He was founder of Edirne Rotary club in 1977 and 3rd president of the club in 1979 to 1980. He was president of Edirne Bar year 1985 to 1990. He served as Lecturer at University of Thrace (Trakya) year 1980 to 1990.

He had two children. He was passed away 12th of June 2016.
